How It Works
Please note that the Full Design Service process is below in its own section. The main outline below is for Virtual Design.
No matter which service option you choose, I kick every project off with an Aesthetic Discovery. Your individualized style is likely a combination of different design themes, which makes it harder to define on your own! Step one will break down the things you like, don’t like, need, and gravitate towards in design AND you’ll have a chance to specify your project needs. This helps me best understand YOU, your personal preferences, your budget, and your project needs. And for those who are already panicking over a Zoom call with a stranger… this starts out with an in-depth form (the call comes next).
Step One: Aesthetic Discovery
Step Two: Touchbase
Welp, we’ve arrived at the call stage, people! To ensure we’re in sync on expectations and before starting the creative process, I’ll schedule a 10-minute check-in to review your completed form responses. This will give you an opportunity to ask me any questions, add in additional pieces you might not have included in the form, and it will allow me to tie up loose ends to get you as close to your design dream as possible!
Step Three: Project Payment
This is pretty much exactly what it sounds like.
Step Four: Creative Delivery
After reviewing your form and my notes from our touchbase, I’ll put together the most fun part of the project - your creative materials! Nine times out of ten, I’ll have collected enough information and input from you to get you to a design place you feel proud of and confident implementing. However, there will be times where a client will want to change a few things around! With both the Decor and Mood Board packages, you’ll have an opportunity to receive one additional revision after including detailed notes on what you’d like to see.
In the event you love what you see in the Virtual Design package and you want help sourcing exact furniture/ensuring it fits - you can upgrade your package to the Full Interior Design Service and your previous fees will automatically be applied! For an additional fee, I can also procure furniture from Virtual Designs at a discounted rate - just shoot me an email for inquiry!
Interior Design Process
Intake Form: before getting started, I’ll have you outline the core details of your project in an online form. Things like your budget, timeline, goals, preferences, functional needs, etc. to make sure our preliminary chat is already set up with the right foundation.
Onsite/Spacial Familiarity: your entire house should share a cohesive aesthetic to keep the flow consistent from one room to the next. For this step, I’ll schedule an onsite to see the room(s) you'd like updated in person to understand the space and how it flows with the rest of your home.
Aesthetic Discovery: you'll review a series of interior photos for comment - both things you love and things you hate. This gives me a good sense of what you like in tonality, patterns, textures, and fixtures.
Design Proposal (THE FUN PART): here's where I'll put together two different 3D renderings for your space. These renderings include furniture recommendations, paint options, fixtures, etc. based on our previous conversations. Everything is measured to scale and within your budget constraints. We'll go back and forth after this presentation based on what you like and dislike to ensure we get to a design that you LOVE.
Product Ordering: once/if we've settled on new furniture options, I will procure all furniture options for you, manage returns, and look for all discounts available for each product.
Staging: once the project is officially wrapped up, I'll come back over a final time to help stage and take photos of your space.
